Within the world of Cryptocurrency the users have developed acronyms and different words are often used to describe something. Here is the most often used vocabulary. 

Address

An address is the location when a user sends or recieves their crypto. Within the normal society this can be seen as a bankaccount. The adress is needed for transactions between people or companies. 

ATH

ATH is an abbreviation for the words All Time High. The ATH's of coins are able to show people whom dont believe in the Cryptocurrencies how much they are acctually able to achieve. For example the ATH of Bitcoin sits at 19,665USD.

Satoshi

Originally the creator of the Bitcoin, the term Satoshi has gained the definition of the tiniest amount of Bitcoin you are able to have, being 0.00000001 BTC. 

Altcoin

Simply said, any other coin than bitcoin. Users like to refer to coins such as Ethereum with their orignal name, due to the massive amount of growth this coin has made in a short time, it deserves more respect that just being called an altcoin. 

HODL

Originally created from the mispelling of the world hold, HODL is a word used by crypto traders to communicate when they should hold on to their coin. For example when coins drastically drop huge percentages within a short amount of time, traders should not panic yet hold on to the coin. Abbreviation for Hold On For Dear Life.

Mining

A costly process, where a user gets paid with Bitcoin for their services. The process of mining allows to take care for preventing the double spending problem.
